"Eu não sei dizer exatamente o que aconteceu entre a estação de rádio e os artistas, mas eu apoio artistas que defendem suas crenças e andam com dignidade", escreveu Lauryn no Twitter. "Precisamos achar uma melhor maneira de explorar comercialmente a música e dar respeito aos artistas. Isso não irá acontecer enquanto você desmerecer a contribuição deles ou tentar controlar seu crescimento por meio de ameaças", continuou a veterana.
Lauryn, que foi abordada por Nicki Minaj para uma parceria no álbum "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded", participou do Summer Jam como convidada do rapper Nas.
